The DO-1 Jeans (THE ORIGIN) hold a special place in denim history as STUDIO DARTISANs very first model the worlds first vintage-spec selvedge jeans. For this reissue, the original fabric was studied in detail and faithfully reproduced using 6-count yarn, replicating the twists and uneven texture of the earliest runs.

Dyeing is carried out using the traditional Tokushima kase-dyeing method, with threads dyed and dried a total of 20 times to achieve a deep, rich indigo tone. The result is a fabric with incredible depth, authenticity, and a distinctly Japanese character. At 15oz, the denim has the perfect balance of durability and wearability, while the fit inherits the regular straight silhouette inspired by classic French workwear. This remake of the DO-1 continues to embody the pioneering spirit of Studio DArtisan.
