During spinning, neps are deliberately introduced to the raw cotton, and the yarn is strengthened on a lepia loom, enhancing both durability and character. The fabric is dyed without silket processing, leaving the natural nep irregularities visible for an understated, elegant surface. A resin finish adds firmness, improving wind resistance and helping the trousers retain their shape through repeated washing.

Inspired by the silhouette of baseball referees, the design features a relaxed waist with a pronounced taper towards the hem for a sharp finish. Large gusseted pockets, reminiscent of spare ball pouches, provide functional detail, while an elasticated waistband with drawcord offers easy adjustment.
