The Nike SB Dunk Low Newcastle is a desirable colorway of the skateboarding shoe that was originally released in 2008. As its name suggests, the design of the Newcastle is inspired by the brewing companys label and even the color of a pint of its famous Brown Ale. Sans any affiliation to the UK based ale distributor, the Newcastle follows another iconic Nike SB Dunk colorway that references a popular alcoholic beverage: the Heinenken SB Dunk from 2003. As for this shoe, a combination of buttery gold leather and brown suede panels highlight the look of the upper. An Atlantic Blue leather Swoosh logo can be found on either side and red Nike branding is stitched onto the white leather heel overlay. The brown mesh tongue is consistent with the puffy tongue used on the SB Dunk from the era of the Newcastles release. Contrasting white shoe laces, and red Nike SB detailing on the tongue progress the models association with the thirst quenching adult beverage. Zoom Air cushioning is added to provide considerable impact absorption when used for skating or casual wear. New Castle (2008)Temperature compensating materials maintain flexibility in cold
